When human resource expertise is required, Enterprising Strategies works in partnership with HR 9-1-1 to make sure that its clients are receiving the best professional advice. Directed by Sharon Armstrong, a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), HR 9-1-1 offers a wide range of human resource services. Sharon began her career in Human Resources in 1985 as a Recruiter/Trainer in a large Manhattan law firm. She was promoted to a managerial role within six months of her arrival. Since then, she has served as a Director of Human Resources at another law firm and three non-profit associations in Washington, D.C. Her responsibilities have included oversight of employee relations, policies and procedures, employee records, benefit programs, training and orientation, recruitment and selection, performance management, and disciplinary discussions and terminations.
Since launching her own consulting business in 1998, Sharon has consulted with many large corporations and small businesses. She has provided training and completed HR projects for a wide variety of clients in the profit and non-profit sectors as well as government settings. Among her former clients are the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, Capital Health Services, the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, Handgun Control, Inc., and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority
